The Addams Family brings audiences into the wonderfully macabre world of Gomez, Morticia, Wednesday, Pugsley, Uncle Fester and the rest of the Addams clan. Trouble begins when Wednesday Addams, now grown up, falls in love with a seemingly “normal” young man and asks her family to host his parents for dinner. What follows is an evening of secrets, surprises, comedy and the realization that “normal” may be overrated after all.

Director Neil Battinelli leads a creative team that includes assistant director Jackie Robertin, music director Bill Verity, stage manager Sam Seymour, choreographer Ashleigh Baer, conductor Cam Lincoln and producer Tom Lavin. Set designer George Crabtree, who previously worked on ART’s The Play That Goes Wrong, returns to create the Addams family’s distinctive world.  Set dressing is being led by Jackie Reilly, Tiana Saroj and Brenda Chase McColgan, helping bring the family’s wonderfully eccentric home to life onstage.

“We expect this show to be family-friendly, a little edgy and just the right show for our community during the spooky season,” said Battinelli. “The Addams Family is taking the place of our traditional Rocky Horror production this year, and we don’t think audiences will be disappointed. It has all the fun, humor and Halloween spirit people are looking for, while giving families and the entire community a show they can enjoy together.”

The principal cast includes K. Chad Graham as Gomez Addams, Giovanna Contini as Morticia Addams, Gabrielle Dion as Wednesday Addams, Lia Fishbein as Pugsley Addams, Matthew Snyder as Uncle Fester, Joshua Kretser as Lurch, Brenda Chase McColgan as Grandma, Jesse Cote as Lucas Beineke, Sara King as Alice Beineke and Bill McColgan as Mal Beineke.

Beyond the principal roles, the production features a strong ensemble of local singers and dancers who bring the Addams ancestors to life throughout the show, adding movement, personality and rich harmonies to the production.

Members of the creative team say that, with a live orchestra, a large cast and countless community members contributing both onstage and behind the scenes, The Addams Family celebrates the collaborative spirit that has been at the heart of Adirondack Regional Theatre for more than 25 years.
