An Adirondack opera in the works!

Enjoy the first in our “Spotlight” series of stories detailing the formation of “Promised Land: an Adirondack Folk Opera.”  Performers on stage will sing of an 1840s Adirondack settlement named Timbuctoo. The opera treats themes including civil rights, voters’ rights, and racial issues in the era before the Civil War in America.The opera is a work in progress, and viewers of these stories will learn about the creative process behind it.
