Roadside Adventures is written, produced and hosted by Derek Muirden, producer of the award- winning People Near Here and Roadside Recipes. Videographed and edited by Chris Mattle. Roadside Adventures is available for regional, state, national and foreign broadcasts.
Roadside Adventures combed the north-country region in search of fascinating places to play, stay and dine! Host Derek Muirden is all over the map, sharing journeys to where the British fought and lost the last battle of the Revolutionary War to the Americans (The Saratoga National Historical Park), seeing one of the most spectacular fireworks displays in the world (Montreal’s International Fireworks Competition) and discovering that Stowe, Vermont (Summer In Stowe) is the perfect time and place for a great vacation! And there is much, much more, from the lighthouses of Lake Champlain to the Road To Halifax, so keep your Friday nights free and join Mountain Lake PBS as we head on down the road in search of another Roadside Adventure.
